U.S. Shipping Reopened - Please read ahead for important information!
Hello friends!
We finally have some good news!
After careful monitoring of the ongoing tariff and policy changes, we are finally able to reopen shipping to the United States!! It has been a particularly tricky year for small businesses like myself as we navigate the constant changes regarding tariffs, duties, etc., and even the Canada Post strike, and I want to thank all my customers for sticking through it with me!
Although I am able to reopen shipping, there are some changes in fees that I will be implementing as of now, and for the foreseeable future:
Flat letter mail
Flat items like stickers and sticker sheets will ship by stamp via Canada Post, meaning it will be untracked. This should not be affected by the tariffs! You may also upgrade to tracked shipping if you prefer.
Bulky/non-flat items:
Any other non-flat items (charms, keychains, phone grips, plushies, cups etc.) MUST ship via the tracked mail option. These shipments will be fulfilled through ChitChats International Tracked, which will include a prepaid tariff/duty fee.
While this, unfortunately, does mean that tracked shipping for my U.S. customers has increased to account for these fees (tracked shipping will now be $25 CAD/~$18 USD), it also means that you do not need to worry about any further charges! (You should NOT be charged tariffs upon delivery, as you will be paying the tariff/duties along with your shipping label).
Because tariffs and other fees are charged based on different item values, package weights, and destinations, the shipping cost includes the average cost of tariffs based on the shipments I have tested so far. In some cases, the tariff fee comes out to be much cheaper, and in these cases the customer will be refunded any major shipping overages. Please note: by placing an order, you agree to the full cost of the shipping label and included tariff/duty fee.
